Planetary Nebulae
in the Henize Catalog

In the mid-1950's, astronomer-astronaut Karl Henize published a catalog of over 2000 Planetary Nebulae. These are designated by the prefix "He". Many of these objects are in the southern hemisphere and make good targets for visual observers.
