Heinze 2-129
PK 325 +3.1

3 minutes exposure, Meade 416XT CCD.
300mm f/6 newtonian at prime focus.

Henize 2-129 is a very small and fairly faint planetary nebula in Lupus, close to the border with Norma. It was not a difficult object with a 12" telescope, the biggest problem is its almost star-like appearence. The use of an OIII filter and moderately high magnification were needed to distinguish it from the surrounding stars.
