Henize 3-1357, also known as the Stingray Nebula, is a small and very faint proto-planetary nebula in Ara. The common name "Stingray Nebula", comes from its appearence in images taken by the Hubble Space Telescope, some of which are quite spectacular. No trace of the object was visible in a 17.5" telescope.
