PGC 35160
ESO 170-2

3 minutes exposure, Meade 416XTE CCD.
300mm f/6 newtonian telescope at prime focus.

Galaxy PGC 35160, also known as ESO 170-2. This 14th magnitude object was situated very close to the planetary nebula Henize 2-63 which I was imaging, so I decided to image it as well. The galaxy is situated in Centaurus, in a very dense region of the Milky Way. This makes it very difficult to observe the galaxy.
