Octoberfest was not always called OCTOBERFEST, at the beginning it was called a "party". Yes, we had parties all time, but on rare occasions all our friends showed up. This happened in 1996. Then the following year Rocky was moving away to train for his new job so we had another party. Once agin it was a rare occasion. So it was called, at first, Rockfest. Then by the end of the night we decided we should have one of this things every year. It just so happened to be the month of October, so we called it Octoberfest. Of course this is only a theory, all facts and documentation have been lost. We ask one another about it, but for some reason we can't remember the details.
The past few years we have been trying to keep records. It was going well untill Ray's digital camera crapped out in 2000 when we were in San Antonio.
