Research Interests
In the last decade, I helped develop new calorimeter technologies and build detectors for the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN. The installation of the experiment is now nearly complete, and our team is poised to sift though petabytes of data using large-scale computing technologies for new physics both here at TTU and at CERN when the collider is turned on next year. Among my many physics interests, two are the production of the higgs boson through vector boson fusion and the heavy resonance searches through jets in beyond standard model theories. Both of these studies will rely on the hadronic calorimeters I helped develop and build for the CMS experiment.
