Stofler is a large walled plain in the southern highlands, just to the east of Tycho . In the image above, it is located close to the centre. The crater has a very smooth floor and the south-eastern rim has been heavily degraded by subsiquent impacts. To the north (bottom) are 3 large walled plains with promient central peaks. These are Walter (top), Regiomontanus (centre), and Parrot. To the left (east) of Walter is Aliacensis, with Werner just below it.
