PGC 49050

Combination of 20, 3 minute exposures, SBIG STL-1001E CCD camera.
300mm f/6 newtonian telescope at prime focus.

PGC 49050 caught my eye while imaging objects nearby, so I decided to image this one as well. What caught my eye was the brightness, reportedly 11.7. This is quite high for an object not in the NGC or IC. The surface brightness is low, but it came up well in the images. This is one object that could be better known. One thing that probably works against it being better know is its southern declination.
