The 2013 Persid display was severely curtailed by clouds. On only two nights, 9 and 13 August, were observations possible. On the first night, I just had the camera sitting on the tripod. I recorded a few meteors and these are shown below. The star almost in the centre of the images is Polaris.
On the second night, rather than have the camera sitting on the tripod and having the sky rotate, I decided to put the camera on a telescope and have to follow the sky. The idea was to make it easier to combine any images that contained meteors. Below is a combination of all of the images into a movie. Several meteors can be seen in the animation.
