Pegasus

Combination of 12, 5 minute exposures using an H-alpha filter.
SBIG ST-8XE CCD. 50mm Nikon lens at f/4.

The Milky Way brushes only a very tiny segment of the constellation Pegasus, where it borders Cygnus and Lacerta. As a result there is virtually nothing in the way of emission nebulae in the constellation as this image reveals. Only a few very faint traces are visible at the top of the image and along the left-hand side.
