M28 is a small, compact, but bright globular cluster in Sagittarius. It is situated some 4 degrees west and 1 degree south of M22, close to the bright star lamba sagittarii, which is the bright red star to the left of the cluster. M28 is a good sight in an 8" telescope with considerable resolution achievable.
