Object Type Open Cluster
Constellation Scutum
Magnitude 8.0
Size 10.0' x 10.0'

M 26 is a fairly compact cluster of moderately bright stars in Scutum.

Combination of 5, 120 second images. Modified Canon Digital Rebel DSLR camera.
5" f/5 refractor at prime focus.

Combination of 10, 1 minute images.
SBIG STL-1001E CCD. 20" f/6.8 Dall-Kirkham cassegrain telescope at prime focus.

Below is a combination of the two images above. This is an attempt to take the colour from the DSLR image and add it to the CCD image. The alignment worked well however the resulting colour is not as good as I would have liked. Still, it was an interesting exercise.
