Leo is a large zodiacal constellation to the east of Cancer. The main stars do look somewhat like the figure they are supposed to represent, so only a little imagination is required to visualize a crouching lion. There are numerous deep-sky objects within its borders, most of which are galaxies belonging to the rich Virgo galaxy cluster.
