8" f/6 newtonian at prime focus.

Jones 1 is a moderately small but faint faint planetary nebula in Canis Major, about 7 degrees east of Sirius. It was not visible in a 12" telescope, even when an OIII filter was used. The faintness can be inferred from the above image, where the nebula has been recorded only very weakly, just below a pair of stars, as indicated by the lines.
