IC 5267

Combination of 2, 3 minute exposures, Meade 416xt CCD.
300mm f/6 newtonian telescope at prime focus.

IC 5267 is a moderately bright member of the group of galaxies which cover much of the southern constellation of Grus. In an 8" telescope the galaxy appears as a moderately bright thin streak of light.

Just out of the image to the right (west) is another slightly fainter galaxy, IC 5267A. This galaxy is also easily visible in an 8" telescope as a very faint streak of light.
