IC 418

Combination of 10, 1 minute exposures, some taken through fog.
SBIG ST-9E CCD. 30" f/5 newtonian at prime focus.

IC 418 is a small but bright planetary nebula in Lepus, situated about 6 degrees south-east of Rigel. It is a very nice object in a 10" telescope and deserves to be better known.

The same image as above but processed to show more of the outer nebula.
