IC 342

Combination of 10, 3 minute exposures, SBIG ST-9E CCD.
14" f/11 schmidt-cassegrain telescope with an f/6.3 focal reducer.

IC 342 is a beautiful, large, face-on spiral galaxy in Camelopardus. It is unfortunate that the galaxy lies close to the plane of the Milky Way as it is dimmed and reddened considerably. Away ffrom the obscuring dust of the Milky Way it would have been a fine sight.

Combination of 20, 3 minute images unfiltered, and 5, 3 minute images each with red. green and blue filters.
