IC 1995

Combination of 15, 3 minute exposures using red, green and blue filters.
SBIG STL-1001E CCD. 5" f/5 refractor at prime focus.

IC 1995 is a large but faint reflection nebula, situated about 2 degrees north-east of the Pleiades in Taurus. The extreme faintness of this nebula can be gauged from just how bright the Pleaides nebulosity appears in the lower right corner. The actual nebula is the faint, irregular patch of blue surrounding the bright star in the middle of the image.
