Combination of 10, 3 minute images using red, green and blue filters.
SBIG ST-9XE CCD. 5" f/5 refractor at prime focus.

IC 1287 is a small and very faint reflection nebula in Scutum. It is faintly visible as a bluish glow surrounding the bright star near the bottom of the image. This is the 6th magnitude star SAO 161569. The compact open cluster to the upper left is NGC 6649.
