Number 5 in the Herschel 400 list is NGC 185. NGC 185 is a fairly large but relatively faint elliptical galaxy in Casseopia. It is an distant companion to the Andromeda galaxy, M31. There are several other faint galaxies visible in the image. The brightest is the 17.2 magnitude PGC 2270, visible to the lower right as a thin streak.
