The fianl object, number 400 in the Herschel 400 list is NGC 7814, and what a beautiful object to finish with. NGC 7814 is a spiral galaxy that is exactly edge-on. The galaxy has a very large central bulge, while the dark dust lanes appear a pencil-thin lines pointing towards the centre. The smaller galaxy towards the bottom of the image is the 14.1 magnitude IC 5381.
