Number 376 in the Herschel 400 list is NGC 7008. It is a moderately large and bright planetary nebula embedded in a rich field of faint background stars.
Visual Observation Notes:- NGC 7008.
Moderately large and bright planetary. Not uniformly bright. Brightest portion to the north. Bright star near south edge.
18" f/5 newtonian. 16mm nagler eyepiece. 143x.
Sky View observatory. Zenith limiting magnitude 6.7.
