NGC 4036 is the elliptical galaxy towards the bottom of the image, while NGC 4041 is the face-on spiral towards the top left.
Visual Observation Notes:- NGC 4036.
Moderately large. Bright core surrounded by faint elongated halo. NGC 4041 in same field.
18" f/5 newtonian. 16mm nagler eyepiece. 143x.
Sky View observatory. Zenith limiting magnitude 6.6.

Same field as NGC 4036. A little smaller and fainter, and much more circular. Slightly brighter centre surrounded by a fairly uniformly faint disk.
18" f/5 newtonian. 16mm nagler eyepiece. 143x.
