SBIG STL-1001E CCD. 20" f/6.8 Dall-Kirkham cassegrain telescope at prime focus.

Number 173 in the Herschel 400 list is NGC 3621, a bright S0 galaxy in Ursa Major. At the top of the image is NGC 3613, Number 171 in the Herschel 400 list, while the smaller spiral galaxy to the left (east) is the 13.7 magnitude, NGC 3625.

Visual Observation Notes:- NGC 3621.

Fairly large, elliptical in outline. Brighter centre surrounded by a rather faint haze. Very low to the south.
18" f/5 newtonian. 16mm nagler eyepiece. 143x.
Sky View observatory. Zenith limiting magnitude 6.7.
