The bright galaxy above NGC 3414 is the 13.5 magnitude NGC 3418, while the edge-on spiral below NGC 3414 is the 15.2 magnitude PGC 32532.
Visual Observation Notes:- NGC 3414.
Moderately large and bright. Round with a brighter centre.
18" f/5 newtonian. 16mm nagler eyepiece. 143x.
Sky View observatory. Zenith limiting magnitude 6.7.
