Number 16 in the Herschel 400 list is NGC 457, a large and bright open cluster surrounding the star, Phi Casseopiae. Phi appears to be a foreground object rather than belonging to the cluster. Apart from Phi, the brightest stars appear to be "B" and "A" type giants, although there is one red supergiant visible.
