NGC 3379 is another Messier (M105) object that found its way into the Herschel list. It is a member is a trio of close galaxies. The large elliptical galaxy to the upper left of M105 is the 9.9 magnitude NGC 3384, which is number 157 in the Herschel 400 list. The smaller spiral galaxy below it is the 11.8 magnitude NGC 3389.

Visual Observation Notes:- NGC 3379.

Brightest member of a trio of galaxies all visible in the same field. Very bright, round with a brighter centre. NGC 3384 and NGC 3389 easily visible in the same field.
