Number 131 in the Herschel 400 list is NGC 2950.
NGC 2950 is a fairly small and moderately bright spiral galaxy in Ursa Major. The galaxy to the north (above) is the 15.1 magnitude galaxy, PGC 27788.
Visual Observation Notes.
Fairly small with a bright centre surrounded by a faint haze. Slightly elliptical. Line of faint stars visible on the west edge.
18" f/5 newtonian. 16mm nagler eyepiece. 143x.
Sky View observatory. Zenith limiting magnitude 6.7.
