SBIG STL-1001E CCD. 20" f/6.8 Dall-Kirkham cassegrain telescope at prime focus.
Number 119 in the Herschel 400 list is NGC 2655. This is a fairly large and bright spiral galaxy in Camelopardus. The outer spiral arms are quite asymmetrical, possibly hinting at some interaction with a passing galaxy in the distant past.
Visual Observation Notes:- NGC 2655.
Fairly large. Spherical with a bright centre surrounded by a faint haze.
18" f/5 newtonian. 16mm nagler eyepiece. 143x.
Sky View observatory. Zenith limiting magnitude 6.7.
