Number 10 in the Herschel 400 list is NGC 253. NGC 253 is a beautiful, large and bright spiral galaxy in Cetus. The brightest member of the Sculptor group of galaxies, it is easily visible in binoculars and possibly visible to the naked eye under really dark skies.
