GSC 0519:0989


GSC 0519:0989 is a 14.1 magnitude star in the constellation Aquarius, that I discovered it to be variable on images taken on 14 August, 2015.

Observations showed that the star is a W UMa-type variable with a period of 9.15492 hours and an ampliture of 0.7 magnitude. The 2 eclipses are not exactly equal, with the primary eclipse being about 0.2 magnitudes deeper.
