Ced 122

Ced 122 is a very large, but very faint and ellusive emission nebula in between Crux Australis and beta centauri. It appears only very faintly on film photographs and I know of no-one who has seen it visually. In the image above, it appears as the very bright region to the left of the Coalsack. This is one object that would be interesting to try for using an h-alpha filter.
