AQUILA

30 minutes exposure on Fuji Super HG II 400 film. 50mm f/2 Nikkormat lens.

Aquarius is a fairly large, constellation to the north-east of Scutum. The Milky Way passes through the constellation, however the region is heavily obscured and pales in comparison to the incredible richness further south in Scutum and Sagittarius, and by the bright regions to the north in Cygnus. Despite this, the constellation contains numerous deep-sky objects for telescopic observers. The brightest star in the constellation is the first magnitude, Altair.
