Asteroid 8077 Hoyle is a main belt asteroid with an estimated diameter of 10 km. It was discovered on January 12, 1986 by E. Bowell at the Anderson Mesa Station of the Lowell Observatory. The semi-major axis is 2.74 AU, the eccentricity is 0.211 and the inclination is 17.26 degrees.
Observations of this asteroid were made on two nights during March and April, 2012. The resulting lightcurve indicated a period of 2.72 hours.
