Asteroid 7750 McEwen


Asteroid 7750 McEwen is a main belt asteroid with an estimated diameter of 10 km. It was discovered on August 18, 1988 by C. S. Shoemaker and E. M. Shoemaker at Palomar. The semi-major axis is 2.75 AU, the eccentricity is 0.371 and the inclination is 15.85 degrees.

Observations of this asteroid were made on 13 nights during July and August, 2011. The resulting lightcurve was quite asymmetric. Although the maxima were roughly equal, the minima were quite different. Also the width of the peaks were different. The amplitude was about 0.65 mag and the period was a relatively long 27.8124 h.
