Asteroid 6730 Ikeda

6730 Ikeda is a main-belt asteroid with an estimated diameter of about 20 km. It was discovered on January 24, 1992 by T. Urata at Oohira. The semi-major axis is 2.65 AU, the eccentricity is 0.150 and the inclination is 18.28 degrees.

This asteroid was observed on 7 nights during June 2015. Only sections of the lightcurve could be obtained on each night and fitting them together proved to be very difficult. The period show here was the best that could be derived, however more work on this asteroid is required to confirm this result.

Lightcurve results for 6730 Ikeda. Derived period 16.334 ± 0.001 hours. Amplitude of 0.54 ± 0.1 magnitude.
