Asteroid 2126 Gerasimovich

2126 Gerasimovich is a main belt asteroid with an estimated diameter of about 10 km. It was discovered on August 30, 1970 by Tamara Mikhaylovna Smirnova at the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory. The semi-major axis is 2.38 AU, the eccentricity is 0.120 and the inclination is 8.49 degrees.

Observations of this asteroid were made on four nights, over a three-week period. Initial analysis resulted in a curve with a single peak at around 11.5 hours. Later analysis showed that a double-peaked curve with a period of 22.951 hours fitted the data equally as well, and so this result is presented here, although this result is uncertain and more work is required on this asteroid.
