Asteroid 1187 Alfa


Asteroid 1187 Alfa is a main belt asteroid that was discovered by K. Reinmuth on 6 December, 1929 in Heidelberg. The semi-major axis is 2.35 AU and the eccentricity is 0.221 and the inclination is 10.72 degrees.

I observed this asteroid on 2 nights during June 2006. A period of 14.66 hours was derived, although more data is required to confirm this result.
