Comet 1999 XB69 LINEAR

Comet 1999 XB69 LINEAR was a very faint comet that was visible for a few months during early 2000. Although the perihelion distance was only just beyond the orbit of Mars, the comet was never brighter than magnitude 17.5. in the image below, taken when the comet was at its brightest, a trace of a faint tail can just be made out.
