Comet 1999 U3 LINEAR

Comet 1999 U3 LINEAR is a faint comet with a perihelion distance just outside the orbit of Mars. The comet peaked in brightness at about 15th magnitude for northern hemisphere observers in early 2000. Analysis of astrometric measurements revealed that it was a periodic comet with a period of a little over 10 years.
