Comet 1998 M5 LINEAR May 30, 2000
Combination of 2, 3 minute images, Meade 416XTE CCD. 300mm f/6 newtonian at prime focus.
Comet 1999 N4 LINEAR was for the most part, below 17th magnitude during the time it was visible. Hoever, during August, the comet underwent an outburst that raised the brightness to about magnitude 15. The outburst was shortlived, and by the end of August, the comet was fading quickly.
