Comet 1998 M3 LARSEN

Comet 1998 M3 Larsen was typical of the numerous faint and very distant comets (perihelion distance 5.7AU) discovered by the large surveys over the past decade. As is to be expected at that distance, cometary activity was weak and the comet never became brighter than 17th magnitude.
