Comet 97P/ Metcalf-Brewington


Comet 97P/ Metcalf-Brewington is a distant periodic comet with a perihelion distance of over 2.6 AU. It also does not seem to become as bright as predicted. When the images below were taken, it was predicted to be as bright as 13th magnitude. However there is no certain trace of it in any of these images. In each image, the white circle indicates the predicted position of the comet.
