NGC 936 is a moderately bright barred spiral galaxy located in the constellation Cetus. The galaxy is almost face-on and so appears almost circular in the telescope. The other 2 bright galaxies in the field are NGC 941 (magnitude 12.2) to the left, and PGC 9394 (magnitude 14.6) near the bottom of the image. There are numerous other faint galaxies visible in the image.
