NGC 925

Combination of 15, 3 minute images, SBIG ST-9XE CCD.
10" f/6.3 schmidt-cassegrain at prime focus.

NGC 925 is a fairly large barred spiral galaxy in Triangulum. Unfortunately, although the total magnitude is around 10.5, the galaxy has a low surface brightness and a dark sky is required for a good view. In a 10" telescope, the galaxy appears as a bright elongated patch of light surrounded by a very faint haze.

Combination of the above image and 1, 3 minute exposure each with red, green and blue filters.
