Comet 78P/ Gehrels
2012 Return

The 2011/2012 return of Comet Geherls was not particularly favourable as the Earth was on the opposite side of the Sun to the comet when it reached perihelion in January 2012. Even so, the comet still reached 12th magnitude in the latter half of 2011 and fanally peaked at around magnitude 11 during the beginning of 2012.
