NGC 7662 The Blue Snowball

16" f/10 schmidt-cassegrain with f/6.3 focal reducer.

The Blue Snowball, NGC 7662, is a small, but bright planetary nebula in Andromeda, about 15 degrees west of M31. In a 10" telescope, the blue colour is quite evident, although not as much as with NGC 3918 , the Blue Planetary.


Combination of 10, 3 minute exposures with a clear filter,
and 3, 3 minute images each with red, green and blue filters.
