The Bubble Nebula

Combination of 10, 3 minute images using red, green and blue filters.
SBIG ST-9XE CCD camera. 5" f/5 refractor at prime focus.

NGC 7635 is a complex emission nebula surrounding a very hot star in Cassiopeia. The "bubble" is formed from the shock wave as matter ejected at high speed from the star slams into the surrounding interstellar material.

The large open cluster to the upper left is M52.

Combination of 5, 3 minute images unfiltered.
