NGC 7582

Combination of 3, 3 minute exposures, Meade 416xt CCD.
8" f/6 newtonian telescope at prime focus.

NGC 7582 is a moderately bright member of the group of galaxies which cover much of the southern constellation of Grus. In an 8" telescope the galaxy is the brightest of a group of three nearly edge-on spiral galaxies. The other two are NGC 7590 and NGC 7599. Both of these galaxies are only a little fainter than NGC 7582. All appear as long thin streaks of light. A number of very faint background galaxies are visible in the image.

Combination of 10, 3 minute exposures, SBIG ST9XE CCD.
8" f/10 schmidt-cassegrain telescope at prime focus.

Combination of 15, 3 minute images, unfiltered and 5, 3 minute exposures using red, green and blue filters.
SBIG STL-1001E CCD. 300mm f/18 cassegrain telescope at prime focus.

Combination of 20, 3 minute exposures, SBIG STL-1001E CCD camera.
300mm f/6 newtonian telescope at prime focus.

The bright galaxy at the lower right is the 11.2 magnitude NGC 7552.
