NGC 7496


Combination of 3, 3 minute exposures, Meade 416xt CCD.
8" f/6 newtonian telescope at prime focus.

NGC 7496 is a moderately bright, barred spiral galaxy in Grus. In an 8" telescope it is easily visible a moderatly bright elongated patch of light with a bright centre. In a 12" telescope, traces of the spiral arms can be seen.
